# How to Calculate Your GPA from IULMS
// iqra university · manual calculation vs. 1-click tool
If you are an Iqra University student using the IULMS student portal, you know that the Student Information Center shows your grades, but tracking your overall CGPA across 8 semesters can be confusing.
In this guide, we'll show you exactly how to calculate your GPA manually, and how to use a free tool to do it automatically in 10 seconds.
## The Manual Way: Calculating IULMS GPA
To calculate your GPA, you need two pieces of information from your IULMS course list for every subject you've taken:
- Credit Hours (Cr. Hrs): Usually 3 for main courses, 1 for labs.
- Grade Points: The numerical value of your letter grade.
### Step 1: Find your Grade Points
Iqra University uses a standard 4.0 scale. Convert your letters to numbers:
A- = 3.67
B+ = 3.33
B = 3.00
C+ = 2.33
C = 2.00
F = 0.00
### Step 2: The Formula
For each course, multiply the Credit Hours by the Grade Points. Add all those numbers together, and divide by the total number of credit hours you have attempted.
CGPA = (Total Quality Points) ÷ (Total Credit Hours)
## The 1-Click Way (Recommended)
Doing this manually for 40+ courses takes hours and is prone to mistakes. We built IUSemPlanner specifically for Iqra University students to solve this.
- Log in to your IULMS portal.
- Go to the Student Information Center course list.
- Click the IUSemPlanner bookmarklet.
The tool instantly parses your entire transcript, calculates your credit-weighted GPA, and highlights which prerequisites you still need to clear.
