Recreating the Clay Homepage Using HTML and CSS

I built this project as part of my full stack learning journey. The goal was to take a real site, in this case the Clay homepage, and try to recreate the layout using only HTML and CSS. I wanted to understand how professional websites structure their sections, space their content, and create a consistent visual style.

Recreating the Clay Homepage Using HTML and CSS

This project includes the main parts of the homepage. I rebuilt the navigation bar, the hero section, the partner logos area, several feature sections, a few content blocks, and the full footer. I did not use any frameworks or JavaScript. Everything is done with raw HTML and CSS so I could focus on improving my core front end skills.

The clone is not fully responsive yet. I know there are layout issues on smaller screens, but the idea was to get the full structure ready first. My plan is to return later and add proper responsive rules once I am more confident with flexbox, grid, and mobile design.

Working on this helped me understand how much thought goes into spacing, alignment, and typography. Even simple sections require careful decisions to make them look clean. Rebuilding a real interface is a good way to learn because you have to figure out how everything fits together instead of following a tutorial step by step.

This project is only the beginning, but it reflects the direction I am moving in. I want to keep building more real world layouts, keep improving my CSS, and slowly move toward full stack development. Every project teaches something new and this one helped me take another step forward.
